Two Receive Appointments to State Board for Dentistry

Recent appointments to the New York State Board for Dentistry include an upstate and downstate dentist. Stanley W. Smith, D.D.S., of New Rochelle, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who practices in Bronx, was appointed to a five-year term, commencing on Sept. 1 and running through Aug. 31, 2026. Richard Reisman, D.M.D., an oral and maxillofacial surgeon of Queensbury who practices at Hudson Headwaters Health Center in Warrensburg, received a five-year term as an extended member of the board, to serve on licensure disciplinary and/or licensure restoration and moral character panels. His term runs from Nov. 1 through Oct. 31, 2026. Dr. Smith is a graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry and received a certificate in OMS from Howard University Hospital. Dr. Reisman is a graduate of Harvard University and completed his OMS training at Mt. Sinai. z
