8 Ways To Diagnose Common Computer Problems On Your Windows/Mac Computer. Many people face computer related issues every day. Some issues are easy to repair but might go unnoticed. There are many ways to diagnose common computer problems on a Windows Computer.

1. Make sure the cables and components are properly connected. This is important if you have upgraded your computer recently. Open your computer and confirm that the cables are connected properly. Also make sure RAM chips, Graphics card, sound card, network card, and other components are all securely attached to the motherboard. 2. Check the POST. POST stands for "Power On Self Test". This is part of a computer startup program that helps in diagnosing keyboards, random access memory (RAM), disk drives and other hardware to make sure they're working properly. If the POST detects any errors within the hardware, it'll either display a text error message on the screen or a series of short and long beeps. 3. Check the load time of the OS. The time it takes for an OS to load when a computer boots up mostly depends on the hardware of the pc. If you notice your OS takes significantly longer to load than it used to, then there might be some problem with your disk drive that's preventing your PC from retrieving information from your disk drive. 4. Check for any graphics problems. If you’re experiencing bizarre visuals on your screen, then there might be some issues with the graphics card drivers or hardware failures. This issue can be fixed by simply updating your graphics card drivers. If the matter still persists, you can contact us. 5. Check for hardware problems. Many PC problems are caused by hardware failures or problems with hardware drivers. Your OS will usually inform you about devices that have a driver issue. You can use the Device Manager to see the status of various hardware devices. Double-click on the category within the Device Manager to display all devices therein. Then click on a selected device. Any errors with the device are going to be displayed within the "Device Status" box under the "General" tab. Check all devices. Use the subsequent steps to open the Device Manager: • Click the Windows Start menu. • Type control panel in the search bar. • Click on the control panel. • Click Hardware and Sound. • Click Device Manager below "Devices and Printers". 6. Check for RAM and CPU utilization. If your PC is running slow, it is important to check how much resources a program is consuming. A simple method to check this is to utilize the Task Manager.
