Who is a qualified corporate donor "C" & "S" corporations and insurance companies that pay an Arizona premium tax may redirect all or a portion of their Arizona income tax to Brophy Community Foundation and receive a dollar of dollar tax credit.

Any amount may be contributed up to the statewide annual cap. The FY 2021-22 statewide cap is $135M and will open on July 1, 2021.

Process for Corporate Tax Credit Contribution The Corporation notifies Brophy Community Foundation (BCF) of its interest in making a corporate tax credit contribution.

The Corporation completes and submits back to BCF the Corporate Tax Credit Form.

On behalf of the Corporation, BCF prepares the application for tax credit and submits it to the AZ Department of Revenue (ADOR) for approval (applications should be prepared prior to June 30th to be ready for submission on July 1 when the new annual statewide credit cap opens.)

When the donation is approved by ADOR, BCF will notify the corporation immediately.

The corporation will have 20 days from the date of approval to remit payment to BCF.

After receipt of payment, BCF will provide a letter of acknowledgment along with copies of the ADOR application and approval for the corporation’s records.

The Corporation claims the dollar-for-dollar tax credit against its Arizona state tax liability.

Why Brophy Community Foundation Brophy Community Foundation is an independent nonprofit school tuition organization (STO) registered through the State of Arizona.

SCHOOL IMPACT + At Brophy College Preparatory, BCF funds have helped form a more diverse student body. Ethnic diversity has increased from 16% in 1999 to 41% in 2020 + At Loyola Academy, where 100% of the students qualify for the federal free lunch program, BCF funds the majority of each student's tuition + At Boys Hope Girls Hope, over 95% of 20192020 high school seniors funded by BCF were first in their families to attend college.

“Looking at the generosity of various Student Tuition Organization funds St. Vincent De Paul School received over the past five years, we have noticed that the Brophy Foundation covers over 60% of the funding for our families. This is a sizable amount and one that greatly assists our students and their families.

The impact of this assistance is sometimes not obvious, however, as administrators, we are witnesses to more families expressing gratitude because of their affordable tuition bill.

The support also allows our school’s budget to accommodate another set of ipads or chromebooks because families don’t need as much help to cover tuition expenses. More importantly, we have some high schoolers who share with

us the good news that they can attend a Catholic High School because their siblings’ tuition in elementary school was supported by the Brophy Community Foundation.

We are grateful to the Brophy Community Foundation for their financial assistance and their strong continued commitment to Catholic education, and especially for families who have always struggled, but more so now in these challenging times.
