Brookwood School Districtisanapprovedprovider ofanE-Learning Program. PublicAct 101-0012 (ILCS)permits localschooldistrictstoestablish an E-Learning plan toaddress student learninginaremote environment. Our program was approved bythe SouthCookRegionalSuperintendent. Our program iseffectivefor aperiod ofthree yearsand willexpireon June30,2027.This program providesBrookwood SD 167 further flexibility, allowing impactfullearning tocontinue, andeliminatingthe needtomake-up emergency daysatthe end oftheyearanddisrupt/rescheduleend of yearactivitiesfor whichfamiliesmake arrangements.Ifthe Districtisusingan E-Learning day, the Districtwillcommunicate thisinformationto parents,students,and staffmembers. BrookwoodSD 167 willalsoprovide directions forfindingthe learningactivities. Our educatorswill makeELearning plans that advance curricular objectives and subject levelinstruction. E-Learning daysalsoprovide fora higherdegree ofcontinuity because students can continue learning evenifthe school buildingis closed.
Ifitbecomes necessary to closethe school beforebuspick-uptime, because ofsnow, icingconditions oranyother emergency, theschool closing announcementswill be carriedby the following stations:
