President’s Message:

Gary G. Terrinoni
LOTS O F LOCATIO N CHA NG ES!
I am pleased to announce that there are many familar services in new locations.
Our Family Medicine and Women’s Health services were
121 DeKalb campus. It was clear that the waiting room was no longer adequate to comfortably house the growing patient population that Family Medicine sees. Women’s Health and Perinatal Diagnostics were in areas in our ambulatory care wing that were dated.

that large building and renovate it to accommodate all three services. In March, the three – Family Medicine, Women’s Health and Perinatal Diagnostics – moved to
as the Family & Women’s Health Center. The space is
brand-new, big and full of natural light. Patients and
This big move freed up space for us and we considered how to best use it. We realized the old Family Medicine suite was large enough to house Pre-Surgical Testing and the Vaccine Center (it also houses our telepsychiatrist). Moving the Vaccine Center there left the large space near the cafeteria open.
I don’t have to tell you that we all disliked the long trek to Employee Health Services, which was way at the end of the power building. So, we’ve moved Employee Health Services to this space, just before and to the left of the Cafeteria, and we know everyone will be grateful to have it in such a central location.
Our physical plant is 180 years old. We have ambitous plans to modernize and revitalize the entire campus, but in the meantime as we work out those details,
that we can all have the best experience possible.

TBHC is a proud partner of The Daisy Foundation and we were thrilled to host their leadership team! The DAISY Award is a recognition program to celebrate and acknowledge nurses by collecting nominations from patients, families and co-workers. Our TBHC nurses and nursing leadership are the absolute best of us, and it is an honor to celebrate these exemplary individuals who have made such a difference through their compassion and care. Shown above are Daisy co-founders, Mark and Bonnie Barnes, flanking Kimberly Volpe, DNP, TBHC’s CNE

Congratulations to Robert DiGregorio, PharmD, Chief Pharmacotherapy Officer, for being named a 2025 Excellence in Health Care honoree by United Hospital Fund. His leadership and commitment to improving quality of care, patient safety and experience continue to make a lasting impact at TBHC and beyond.

In April, NYPD’s 88th Youth Coordination Officer and 88th Community Affairs held an Easter Egg Hunt. TBHC was, of course, there to offer literature and conduct screenings. Also there (second from left), Delia Hunley-Adossa.

TBHC conducted screenings at the May “A Day at the Zoo” event sponsored by the NYPD School Safety Brooklyn South in partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society and Prospect Park Zoo. A feathered friend wandered by during the festivities!
