Mickey has been proud to serve as the Fifth Avenue BID’s “official” Park Slope Santa for over ten years. To me, Brooklyn Pride is about community, while still creating a family-oriented pride celebration. She is most proud to have created and cultivated the Brooklyn Youth Pride program, with her spouse, and this program is now an annual event. Cam hopes to continue outreach and diversity at Brooklyn Pride to ensure we all stand stronger within our community, to combat the ones who try to undermine and erase our existence. We will not change how we show-up to our events, but as an organization we are conscious of the climate that we are living in.
