What do you remember fondly about your time at Brookhurst?
I will remember the strong friendships I've made at Brookhurst. I also got to know God in a personal way during my time at the school. I was able to strengthen my relationship with Christ and have a great Christian journey while at school. Additionally, the support and encouragement l received from the teachers in my final year was critical for me academically. I'm continually grateful for their effort and prayers as well.
l also got to be a student teacher. I gained the privilege to serve my fellow students and also to fellowship with a few of them in our small Christian Union meetings. I also retain a beautiful relationship with the other staff members which l valued very much and still do.
Brookhurst taught me the value of respect. Respect for my fellow peers and my elders.
Q 2
Which values did Brookhurst impart on you that have an effect on you today?
Brookhurst taught me the value of respect. Respect for my fellow peers and especially my elders. Respecting others enabled me to have and maintain good relations with the teachers and the whole school's staff.
Q 3
Tell us about your transition to university life? What has been yourexperience?
It’s only been a week since l joined the university of Nairobi. It’s a new experience for me. Everyone is new to me, the environment is new and there is a demanding obligation to manage your time well. Time wasting is frowned upon. The first few days were a bit demanding and exhausting, however getting to interact with new people has honestly been interesting.
All in all, it has been great, and indeed, it is well with my soul
There is a purposeful life to live after high school. Set goals for each day and be disciplined in order to achieve them.
What skills, hobbies or causes have yo leaving Brookhurst?
l have learnt a bit of piano and guitar since. I would also say I've learnt to interact with different kinds of people, considering that am more of a quiet person. I'm learning proper time management. However, the last two two are a work in progress
Kindly fill us in on your future plans.
Honestly, l don’t think l have clearly defined plans, but what l can say is that am looking forward to impacting the hearts and lives of others through the opportunities the course am currently undertaking may bring, as the Lord will enable me!
What advise would you give a Brookhurs transitioning to life after Brookhurst?
l would urge graduates to keep God first and commit themselves to the Lord. Secondly, time management is very important Graduates ought to do so in order to have an orderly lifestyle. So much can be done if time is utilized and managed properly There is a purposeful life to live after high school. Set goals for each day and be disciplined in order to achieve them. If not occupied, one should engage in an activity or two that will not only keep them busy, but also add value to their lives and to those around them. The essence of proper time management is that this skill will cause them to be efficient and productive in what they do and keep them from involving themselves in unnecessary and wasteful activities.

What are your fondest memories about your timeatBrookhurstInternationalSchool?
It’s hard to pick one considering just how many fond memories I have to look back at Thinking back though, Watching Movies and series with everyone in the common rooms every weekend, and all those hours spent studying with friends in the dining hall were core memories in my Brookhurst experience
I also must mention the many trips we went on; I enjoyed every single one especially the sports events and biology trips!
Which values did Brookhurst impart on you thathaveaneffectonyoutoday? Q 2
The most important value I learned was that hard work pays off The school pushed me to be the best and in the process I appreciated the importance of maintaining a great work ethic You have to put in work in all you do I carry this attitude with me to this day
I also gained a deeper respect for authority during my time at Brookhurst The school appropriately reprimanded my negative tendencies while simultaneously pushing me towards the right path. In hindsight, I have nothing but respect and admiration for the teachers and staff members who guided me through the whole process and hope to meet them again someday.

What advice would you give a Brookhurst graduate looking to study abroad?
I would advice the graduate to make sure you pick a city with a lot of studentfriendly infrastructure, such as a good public transport system, walkable streets, and decent bike lane setups. It goes a long way when you’re trying to keep your dayto-day costs low!

What skills, hobbies or causes have you picked up since leaving Brookhurst?
I have picked up 4 computer programming languages, although I haven’t perfected all of them yet My main hobbies are sports, namely cycling and open-water swimming.
The most valuable skill I’ve learned though is my social skills, having interacted with people from many different regions and cultures, my social skills have improved to levels I didn’t think were possible for me.
Fill us in on your future plans?
I'm not settled on a detailed plan of my life right now I currently prefer to take things as they come with a little spontaneity. Nevertheless, my rough plan involves completing my studies and graduating from university.
I will probably look to enter the workplace soon after graduating. My preference right now is to work in Berlin Germany.
