Introduction
Within Early Intervention and Family Support, we have a number of evidence based parenting programmes which parents have found to be beneficial in helping achieve positive changes to their parenting practice.
The following pages will assist you, with parents, in deciding which course they would find helpful to their situation.
There is a wide variety of course choice, including face to face and online programmes. Some of our courses offer a 'Parenting Plus' element. This means a Social Worker is able to request a place on a course for a parent and one of our Family Support and Parenting Practitioners will then see the parent on a 1:1 basis to check understanding of the techniques and strategies discussed and ensure that these are being embedded in their parenting practice.
