Summary

The goal of Early Intervention is to provide timely assistance with the appropriate support to as many children and families as possible, addressing a wide range of issues.

Our aim is to assist families in overcoming obstacles and implementing lasting transformations, enabling them to feel more optimistic, empowered, and to enjoy a more fulfilling family life.

Our Children and Family Centre Locations

Aiming to help parents and carers of children 5-18 years, increase their range of parenting skills and improve relationships within the family and community.

Topics: self-esteem, boundaries, family values, communication, self-discipline and managing anger.

Parents and carers will:

Learn new skills/ techniques to support their child's behaviour. Understand the importance of good communication within the family.

Recognise the impact their parenting style may have on their child's behaviour and longer term mental well-being.

Gain in confidence as a parent/ carer.

Parents and carers will:

Learn skills to support child behaviour.

Understand the importance of family communication.

Recognise the impact of their parenting style on behaviour and mental well-being.

Gain confidence in their role as parents/carers.

Parents and carers will:

Gain insight into the impact of their parenting on their child.

Learn to set boundaries. Recognise the value of good family communication. Understand their child's perspective.

Parents and carers will:

Enhance existing parenting skills and learn new ones for their developing teenagers.

Recognise their impact on their teens. Understand how the adolescent brain influences behaviour. Improve communication with their young person.

Parents and carers will:

Understand why we can become angry.

Set ‘ anger rules’ within the family.

Recognise the signs of anger in themselves and others. Understand the destructive nature of anger.

Learn some techniques to reduce anger.

Parents and carers will:

Learn how self-esteem develops. Understand the impact of low self-esteem.

Recognise how they can develop a health self-esteem in themselves and their family.

Parents and carers will:

Understand ADHD and how it is affecting their child.

Recognise some of the causes of their child’ s behaviour.

Understand some of the difficulties experienced by their ADHD child.

Improve their relationship with their child.

Parents and carers will:

Understand Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) from their child's perspective.

Learn supportive strategies and techniques for behaviour. Share experiences with others on a similar journey. Gain confidence in their parenting.

Parents and carers will:

Understand that not all conflict is harmful, but frequent and poorly resolved conflict can negatively impact children.

Gain skills to better cope with stress.

Engage in healthier behaviours and enhance self-esteem.
