Located on Brock University’s main campus, our ESL students benefit from the same modern facilities as our Undergraduate and Graduate students. You can also enroll in academic courses while completing your ESL studies through our pathway programs.

We make sure you feel included in the local community. From our Homestay program and volunteer opportunities, to our social activities and university events – Brock will become your new home away from home.

Located in St. Catharines, you’ll benefit from a primarily English-speaking population. This means you’ll have greater opportunities to improve your language skills outside of the classroom.


ESL PROGRAMS FOR ACADEMIC PATHWAYS

September, January or May entry available. Intensive English Language Program An intensive academic English language program for university focused students. Graduates will meet the English proficiency requirements for most Brock University undergraduate programs. Option, for advanced students, to study one undergraduate course also available for Fall, Winter and Spring term-entry. Also available for ESL Plus students. PRICE: $4,500*

Accelerated English Language Program If you have an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent, you may study our last level of the IELP in eight weeks. Our flexible program schedule allows you to start your undergraduate studies in September, January or May.

Brock offers a number of unique programs to improve your English in as little as two weeks. Winter English Language Program Experience a Canadian winter as you spend two-weeks in Niagara with quality in-class English language instruction. You will also visit local attractions and discover the beauty of the Niagara region through planned educational and recreational activities. The program includes local Homestay accommodation and food. Dates: Feb. 22 to March 5, 2021 PRICE: $2,000*

Summer English Language Program Benefit from 5-weeks of quality in-class English language instruction, as you study alongside French-Canadian students from Canada’s Explore Program. You will also visit local attractions and discover the beauty of the Niagara region through planned educational and recreational activities. The program includes local Homestay accommodation and food. Dates: July 5 to Aug. 6, 2021 PRICE: $4,285*

ESL Plus This program is designed for students who want to take academic credit course(s) while improving their English language skills. Students are able to benefit from studying alongside Canadian students while being enrolled in IELP classes. You’ll also enjoy the attractions and beauty of the Niagara Region through planned socio-cultural activities. September, January or May entry available. PRICE: $4,500*, plus undergraduate credit course fee

Customized English Language Programs Our customized programs can be designed for a wide variety of groups and purposes. Groups can benefit from quality in-class IELP instruction, as well as enjoy the attractions and beauty of the Niagara Region through planned socio-cultural activities. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY TEST COURSES Prepare for TOEFL and IELTS English language proficiency tests with this introductory course to understand the test structure and strategies. A focus on the fundamental skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, you will also learn the different question types each component includes, as well as tips and tricks and common mistakes to avoid. The course also includes online exercises and practice tests. • Increase your English Proficiency Test (EPT) score to further your academic study • Complete your university application with a new EPT score after course completion • Improved EPT scores can meet the English language requirements for admission into Brock University

ESL Services offers many planned events throughout the year to keep you engaged in between classes. You will also visit local attractions and discover the beauty of the Niagara region through planned educational and recreational activities.
