CULTURAL IMMERSION TRIPS & UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCES
Britventure is an innovative English language immersion programme designed for students seeking a truly engaging and hands-on experience. Unlike traditional summer schools, Britventure takes students across England and Ireland, allowing them to explore multiple locations and immerse themselves in the language and culture of each unique place. Travelling by coach, students will spend 2 - 4 nights in different cities and towns, practising their English in real-world situations.
Classroom sessions are designed to be dynamic and interactive, preparing students for the afternoon activities. Rather than focusing on abstract language rules, lessons are tailored to teach practical, everyday English that students can immediately apply. Each morning’s lesson directly connects to the activities of the day, ensuring that students are equipped with the language skills they will need to navigate and engage with local people and their surroundings.
With Britventure, students don’t just learn English—they live it. This combination of travel, language practice, and cultural exploration offers a unique and memorable way to improve language skills while experiencing the best of England and Ireland.
This is an opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the life and culture of the British Isles for two weeks. You will not only practise the language but also engage with the day-to-day life experiences, both in cities and smaller towns.
Instead of staying in a traditional summer school for two weeks, you will travel across the whole country! From incredible historical cities, to modern industrial towns, to beautiful countryside, you will see first-hand the rich cultural variety that the British Isles has to offer.
Full immersion in an English-speaking environment accelerates language acquisition. You will practise what you learn in real time, enhancing your fluency, comprehension, and confidence at a much faster pace than through traditional methods.
From ordering food to engaging in casual conversations, you will be encouraged to use English in all aspects of your adventure. This daily interaction with English speakers will stretch your comfort zone while boosting your communication skills.
There are many different accents spoken across the British Isles, from the London Cockney to the Liverpudlian Scouse, and many more. Each brings its own unique words, phrases, and manners. There is no better way to experience this than travelling across the country as you learn, promoting not just language fluency, but also cultural competence.
The British Isles have some of the best universities in the world and you will be staying and studying at them! There is no better way to become inspired to go to university than to visit campuses and stay in halls of residence!
Unlike a traditional summer school, the programme includes many different activities and excursions from theme parks, to museums, cinemas, bowling, and tours. These are not only designed to be fun, but also a great way to further understand British culture and lifestyle!

To participate in the Britventure programme, students must have at least a B1 level of English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This means they should be at an intermediate level, capable of handling everyday conversations and basic communication needs in English. Here is a breakdown of what a B1 English level entails:
Students at the B1 level can understand and take part in discussions on familiar topics, such as school, work, leisure, and travel. They can express themselves on a range of subjects related to personal interests and experiences, though they might still struggle with more complex or abstract topics. They should also be able to ask for clarification and make requests in English.
Reading
A B1 student can read and understand straightforward texts on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. They can grasp the main points of messages, emails, and simple reports or narratives.
Writing
At this level, students can write simple, connected texts on topics they are familiar with. They can describe experiences, events, dreams, and ambitions, and briefly explain their opinions and plans.
Having a B1 level ensures that students are prepared to engage in meaningful conversations, understand instructions, and make the most of the language practice opportunities during the programme.
