Feed Program Our Feed program is simple. The bulls are raised on momma’s milk and grass! No creep feed throughout the summer. The bulls do see creep feed approx. 3 weeks before weaning. We feel this helps sooth the process of weaning.

Less to no sickness or stress after weaning if they are already on feed! After weaning, they are fed a TMR of cereal silage, hay & grain, as well as minerals and OLS lick tubs. The cows and bulls are fed the same as our commercials, no special treatment here! They are realistic cattle, with the commercial cattlemen in mind!

Calving Ease All the bulls in the sale were born unassisted.

elcome to our annual bull sale! Time sure flies. It doesn’t seem that long ago I was sitting down writing last year’s welcome speech. We truly are grateful to have our customers, friends and family who support us! The cattle industry is buzzing and it’s great to be along for the ride. We’ve been in the cattle business for 70 years and it is gratifying to see producers finally being rewarded!

We strive to produce bulls that go out, breed cows, and sire efficient calves. Calves that continue to gain from birth to weaning and from weaning to finish are what pays the bills. Our goal as seed stock breeders is to make our customers money, and to produce a bull that works for the cattleman in a realistic environment. We personally put our bulls to the test as we run a commercial herd of AngusX cows bred back Charolais. These CharX calves continue to top the market time and time again. “Success for the rancher is in the ring at the market, not the show ring.” Maximize your calf checks by using Charolais bulls.

We feel the bulls offered this year are an exceptional group. Hair, pounds, calving ease, eye appeal and athletic ability with good feet.

The Charolais program that is in the following pages is just a testament to the years of careful selection for high quality cattle, with no fuss calving ease and powerful performance.

It is no secret Charolais cattle on a commercial level are at the top of market report at every sale, and are getting harder and harder to find, which means even more of premium for these cattle. To quote a long time order buyer, when you phone a customer in Ontario on Charolais calves in the fall, the voice on the other end usually has one question, HOW MUCH and HOW MANY, as the cattle are always so sought after.

The cattle are right, the people are right, and the future in the cattle business is right, what more can you ask for.

Terms Internet and US Buyers will have two (2) business days to wire Canadian Funds to Jack Auction Group for all purchases. All settlements must be made with the sale clerks before cattle will be released. The right of property will not pass until final payment is made. Unless previous arrangements have been made.

Bidding Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. Bidders unable to bid on-line, may phone their bids in to the listed representatives or sale manager.

Disputes Bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision is final.

Announcements Announcements made from the block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalog. Buyers are cautioned to pay close attention to announcements.

Purchaser’s Risk Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

Certificate of Registration Each animal will carry papers issued by their association unless otherwise stated. A full certificate of registry duty transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made.

Delivery Assistance will be given in making delivery after the sale. The purchaser agrees shipping arrangements will be at the convenience of the seller, but will be as soon as practical after the sale, at the buyer’s risk.

Breeder Guarantee Bulls are vet evaluated before the sale and will be semen checked by April, unless buyer requests earlier. If your bull does not pass semen check, your funds will be refunded. Spare bulls are kept-we will work with you to get your cows bred!

Exception Guarantee In the case where the animal is subject to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantees shall be null and void. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at the sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price.

American Purchases The sellers will do all health testing for export. The Seller will assist with delivery. Exchange rates will be announced sale day at current rates. All bulls guaranteed exportable to the USA. Sale Manager Jack Auction Group is only acting as a medium between buyer and seller, and is not responsible for failure on the part of either party to live up to their obligations; or for the truth of any warranties or representations, expressed or implied. Any legal action taken in exceptional cases must be between buyer and seller. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations.

Insurance We recommend that you insure your purchases. It is the buyers’ responsibility to make arrangements with your preferred insurance broker.

Semen The consignors reserve the right to in-herd semen use on any bull sold in the sale, with the semen drawn at the consignor’s expense and the buyer’s convenience.
