School Fees 2019-2020 The British School of Paris endeavours to offer an inclusive fee. Our fee includes educational materials such as textbooks and exercise books, extra-curricular activities and school lunch. Many school trips are also included in the fee. Where overnight trips are planned an additional charge may be made. Some educational support services are also charged for in addition to the basic fee. Registration Fee

Compulsory School Trips

Fees are invoiced annually. For those students joining us during the course of the academic year, fees are calculated in half term units. Full fees are payable upon receipt of the invoice or one third can be paid at the beginning of each term. Subject to agreement from the Director of Finance, fees can alternatively be paid by ten instalments from September to June.

Bus Service Parents are required to pay the full annual fee should they choose to use the school bus service. Means of Payment Payment of Fees Fees must be paid by bank transfer, direct debit or by cheque on receipt of the invoice. Payments should be made out to 'The British School of Paris' and sent to the Administrative Office located on the Senior School campus. Full fees are payable upon receipt of the invoice or one third of the fees can be paid at the beginning of each term. Subject to agreement from the Director of Finance, fees can alternatively be paid by ten installments from September to June. Any bank charges must be borne by the payer. If fees are not paid by the required date, the School reserves the right to charge interest, to request the withdrawal of a student or to withdraw tuition. Departure One half term’s notice in writing, addressed to the Registrar, is required when withdrawing pupils to avoid one term’s fees in lieu. Direct Debit Requests for direct debit should be addressed to the Finance and Administration Office at the Senior School. Upon receipt of the form “Demande de prélèvement” please return it with a RIB (relevé d’identité bancaire) Please note that direct debits from outside France are not possible. Parents are responsible for payment of the total sum due, regardless of any subsidies provided by their employer

Educational Support Fee Structure 2019-2020 (For additional and specialist provision)

Programmes and Charges The programmes outlined below carry a supplementary charge in addition to the core tuition fees. All charges shown are annual.

English as an Additional Language (EAL) Specialist additional and different support for pupils entering the Junior School or Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) in the Senior School with little or no English. Five Hour EAL programme in the Junior School. Taught in a small group, pupils are withdrawn from class for five hours each week. Available from Year 1 – Year 6. o Two Hour EAL programme in the Junior School. Taught in a small group, pupils are withdrawn from class for two hours each week. Available from Year 1 – Year 6. o Two hour EAL programme in KS3 or Year 12. Taught in a small group, pupils are withdrawn from certain classes for two hours per week. Once students progress sufficiently, access to the mainstream curriculum is expected. As soon as applicable, EAL support is reduced and in many cases discontinued. More than 80% of all EAL or Intensive English students in 2018-2019 dropped or reduced their support by the end of the year. o
