Co-curricular Activities at the British School of Bucharest
The British School of Bucharest offers the National Curriculum for England. A British education emphasises performance whilst always focussing on a child’s broader development. While the acquisition of knowledge is vital, it alone is not sufficient to guarantee success; the vision of CCAs at BSB is to ‘ignite’ and nurture lifelong passions in all students. All learners must develop to their full potential to challenge and discover their world.

At the British School of Bucharest, we enhance the British curriculum with an extensive and varied programme of around 130 co-curricular activities (CCAs), providing students from Reception to Year 13 with fantastic opportunities. They can explore new sports and activities or pursue a wide range of interests and service opportunities which often develop into lifelong passions. Our mission is to foster an environment where every student has a gateway to discover and cultivate these passions.
We encourage students to enrol in at least one activity each term. Morning CCAs are now available from 07:45 to 08:25, and lunchtime CCAs from 13:00-14:00 for Secondary students. The after-school CCA programme runs from Monday to Friday, 15:00 to 17:00 for the whole school. Many of our CCAs are offered free of charge, whilst others may require a participation fee.
We refresh our selection of CCAs each term. You can book a place for your child through the SchoolsBuddy system at the times announced via school email.

THE NUMBER AND RANGE OF CCAS ON OFFER THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL IS OUTSTANDING AND EVERY STUDENT WILL FIND A CCA THAT CAN ENTHUSE AND INSPIRE THEM.
