POLICE, CRIME AND ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR UPDATE 3 – 16 AUGUST 2022
CRIME STATS Over the last two weeks, reported crimes have reduced from 425 in the previous period to 291 overall.
Theft (91) and violence against the person (75) have experienced the greatest decrease however remain the highest recorded crimes.
INTRODUCING INSPECTOR JONATHAN SCOTT Hello to you all. I am Inspector Jonathan Scott and I am covering for Inspector Adam Dolling throughout August whilst he enjoys a well-deserved break. You may remember me from last year when I covered Adam. I am the Clifton Neighbourhood Sergeant. My team cover Clifton, Cotham, Redland and Bishopston and will be working out of the Bridewell from 1 October 2022.
This provides Adam with an extra team to resource protests and demonstrations and conduct licensing checks in the city centre. This will ensure that more police officers are visible to the public. It will also mean we work closely and in better collaboration with our colleagues from the Central Neighbourhood Team.
INTRODUCING PC MAX SMITH Hello everyone, I would like to introduce myself to you all. I am PC Max Smith and I have joined the Local Neighbourhood Policing Team as a beat manager for the Old City Docks area. Before joining the police I worked as an Immigration Officer covering the Avon, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire
areas. This was a varied role that I enjoyed very much, meeting people from a range of different backgrounds, all with a very interesting story to tell.
