Born in Africa, Jas Sehmbi was uprooted at the tender age of four, to move to India, before finally settling in England in 1970.

He completed an art foundation at East Ham College in Stratford and just three months later began retailing small leather and canvas bags.

He then went on to designing as well as retailing and opening his first shop in Ilford in 1985...

Hugely inspired by the love for leather goods and accessories, Jas travelled to Italy to design and produce a range, which he imported to the UK and continued to combine his dual creative influences of music and fashion to cultivate and develop the first ever DJ bag.
