Experimental

Second Place

Giuseppe Mascheroni I like to transform what I see, add my interpretation to objects and places, complicate everything by overlapping different layers, experiment with different techniques and even inconsistent compositional formulas. As if there were different souls inside me, conflicting personalities. I am an architect, and this is reflected in conceiving my compositions as an inevitably three-dimensional space, both in the project I am developing and in its relationship with the surrounding space, as if it could never exist only in itself but always in relation to something else. In my early works there was above all this, light structures that merged with the wall or suspended from the ceiling, which told an imagined architecture, which played with light, and again with layers, overlaps, movement, contrast between materials and textures.
