CONCEPT

As a company focused on community and authentic representation, inclusiveness is at the heart of Purple Goat’s mission. Therefore, the design of their Nashville office will be centered around the concept of, “inclusiveness is eclectic.” A variety of settings will allow all occupants to feel comfortable, inspired, and productive. The human centered office design will feature flexible and dynamic zones which give employees a sense of choice. Flexible spaces that foster collaboration and productivity will be strung throughout individual workstations for employees who prefer to work alone. A variety of nooks, lounge areas, workstations, and breakout rooms will utilize natural and warm materials, with pops of color and biophilic elements. The workplace will feel inspiring and encourage employees to work creatively and collaboratively through a variety of work zones and spaces.

WORK CAFE
The work café serves as not only a place for employees to eat meals and enjoy a cup of coffee, but also a place to socialize, escape from their desk, and attend company events. The café features a variety of seating, giving the employees choice and supporting different work modes. Natural materials, ample sunlight and greenery connect the space to the outdoors and create a relaxing environment.
OPEN OFFICE
The open office on the second level provides individual workstations with storage to give full time and agile employees their own space. The collaborative space in the foreground of the view gives employees an informal place to collaborate on projects throughout the work day and soft seating with views as a change of scenery. Workstations and collaborative areas are placed near windows to provide all employees with natural lighting. Automatic shades and smart glass are used to reduce glare and control temperature.

THE WATERING HOLE
The “Watering Hole” is a student wellness center, designed in collaboration with three classmates. Nestled on the shore of the FSU Rez’s lake, this cylindrical structure, accessed through a garden pathway, provides a sanctuary for students. Imbued with lush vegetation, plush seating, cozy nooks, and nature-connected decks, the center addresses mental health disparities among college students. With awareness of the need for peer connections and a deeper bond with nature, the design seeks to provide a nurturing space for student well-being.

CONCEPT
As time passes, we as a society continue to stray from our innate human need for connectedness with nature. This design provides a space for college students experiencing stress and isolation to come together and retreat to times when the world was more grounded.
The design appeals to the five senses, utilizing sustainable practices, biophilia, and social connectedness to transport students into an oasis that rekindles their connection to the Earth. It serves as a reminder that life is a collection of big memories made of little moments. Yesterday is the best tomorrow. It is time to rediscover our roots!

READING NOOK
Plush seating and varying textures ground the user to encourage concentration as students submerge themselves in literature. A lowered ceiling and warm lighting ensure a sense of safety.
FRONT ENTRY
A large cypress tree stems from the center of the structure. Its presence bridges the gap between the natural world and the built environment. To create a tech-free environment, visitors are encouraged to place their cell phones in lockers, to create a technology free space.

YOGA & MEDITATION ROOM
The yoga and mediation room provides a space for students to practice mindfulness among ambient sounds of rustling leaves and flowing water, with 360 degree views of the exterior. The space allows for group classes or individual practice.

RECHARGE BRUNCH CAFE
The Recharge Brunch Café is a proposed design for an unoccupied space in the newly developed Cascades Mixed-Use Development in Tallahassee. This café, designed in collaboration with another classmate, offers a gathering place for individuals of all ages in the Tallahassee community. Its vibrant, open interior fosters connections and relaxation. With a diverse menu, including natural food options and coffee, along with a retail section for merchandise, it caters to varied preferences. Weekdays feature it as a coffee shop/ lunch spot for nearby office workers, transforming into a lively weekend brunch spot with extended hours for happy hour and appetizers.

MAIN DINING
Within the main indoor dining area, a variety of seating options are available, allowing guests to choose the setting that is most comfortable, whether they are dining alone, or in a group. To streamline the ordering process, guests in this area can place their food orders by scanning the bar code assigned to each table.
CONCEPT
The design of the brunch café in Tallahassee, Florida for the Cascades Mixed-Use Development is inspired and informed by the idea of a blooming flower. The café will provide an environment that promotes nourishment and growth of guests, similar to the growth process of flowers. Organic forms, natural textures, and a rich color palette will immerse users and evoke feelings of inclusion and joy. These elements will be used to incorporate harmony and movement through the space to create simplistic way-finding.

TO-GO COUNTER & BAR
The order area features an order station where guests can order food and coffee to go. The to-go order counter wraps into the bar seating zone which provides a more open and social dining experience. On the rear right wall is a merchandise display where guests can purchase their favorite Recharge goods.
OUTDOOR LOUNGE & DINING
The covered patio serves as both a lounge and dining area. It offers guests the opportunity to relax in comfortable seating or gather around café tables for fresh air, socializing, or a drink. Corn-hole provides entertainment for both children and adults, creating a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

CANTON COVE PEDIATRICS
The Canton Cove Pediatric Clinic is located in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland and offers pediatric primary care for children aged 0-18. The clinic prioritizes family-centered spaces, flexible areas, supportive staff environments, positive patient distractions, and features addressing acoustical and sensory sensitivities. Emphasizing a calming environment, the facility incorporates organic architectural features and soft lighting to reduce stress associated with medical visits. The goal is to provide not only medical care but also a positive and empowering experience for patients and families.

EXAM ROOM HALLWAY
The exam room hallway surrounding the nurse station is designed with spacious corridors to accommodate the flow of patients, equipment, and healthcare providers. The incorporation of way finding features, such as colored inset rubber flooring and ceiling cues, assist with navigation and provide positive distractions.
CONCEPT
Nestled beside Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore offers a natural shelter from the open waters, evoking a sense of tranquility akin to that of a cove. Cultivating the comforting conditions a cove provides, this will be the concept for the design of Canton Cove Pediatrics. Oceanic attributes will be incorporated into the space through a soothing color palette, fluid forms, and alcoves for privacy. These attributes will emulate the calming and captivating environment of a cove, allowing children to feel sheltered within the space. Organic elements and interactive zones will provide positive distractions for the patients and their family members, to encourage positive emotions. Clear sight lines and way-finding systems will be utilized to allow children a sense of control while navigating the clinic. Together, these elements will make Canton Cove Pediatrics a haven of healing for young patients and their families.

THE ARGONAUT BUILDING
The objective of this project was to build the structural and interior components of a two-story office building for a local lobbyist. The main learning focus was on generating an 18-page construction documentation set, which includes floor plans, ceiling plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and detail drawings, as seen in the following pages. This undertaking significantly enhanced my proficiency in Revit, and provided valuable insights into the construction document creation process

AGING IN PLACE RESIDENCE
Mr. and Mrs. Smith are in their 60’s and have been married for 41 years, they have recently purchased a 1960 sq. ft. unfinished home located in Breckenridge Colorado. The design for the interior of the residence will need to include features that allow the couple to comfortably age in place, while accommodating guests of all ages and needs.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith love to cook and host friends in their home for dinner parties at least once a month . They are fond of a sophisticated country style and the use of natural products and light.

Inspired by modern country charm, the home design for Mr. and Mrs. Smith provides a casual and cozy environment for the couple to age in place. DINING ROOM
The dining area features a wet bar and shelving, providing a dedicated space for the clients to showcase souvenirs from their travels in South America.
PRIMARY BEDROOM READING CORNER
The primary bedroom incorporates a cozy reading corner tailored for Mrs. Smith, along with French doors that open onto their back patio.
CONTINUING THE DESIGN...
Following the completion of the home’s interior, I was tasked with the design of the Smiths’ rear patio to be completed within three weeks. The goal was to create a space for cooking, entertaining, and relaxation, emphasizing accessibility and biophilic design. Biophilic elements, like natural materials and features such as fire and water are incorporated. The patio serves as an accessible, natureinspired extension of the interior, supporting the Smiths’ aging-in-place needs while offering a peaceful indooroutdoor transition.

ZEN GARDEN
The Zen Garden provides a private retreat for Mr. and Mrs. Smith adjacent to the primary suite, offering a space to relax and enjoy the view of the Breckenridge Mountain ranges. A partition wall ensures privacy from the rest of the patio, while the peaceful sounds of the fountain contribute to a calming atmosphere.

OUTDOOR KITCHEN
Pergolas with rotating blades and built in heaters are placed over the Outdoor Kitchen/Dining area and Zen Garden to extend the usability of the patio throughout the seasons.

A PLACE OF WORSHIP
The objective of this project was to design a place of worship for the Hare Krishna religion. The designated location for this religious center was within the Statue of Liberty Complex in New York City. Through extensive research into the Hare Krishna religion, I designed a gathering place for the Hare Krishnas to engage in learning, reflection, and meaningful conversations.

BUILDING SECTION
The front garden serves as an area for worshipers to gather and reflect before entering the space. The water fall window incorporates an element of biophilia within the design while still allowing natural light to flow into the interior.
As worshipers enter the shrine, they can follow a direct path up the ramp to the indoor and outdoor worship space or enjoy various social spaces along the edges of the plan.

SPRING 2024
The in-progress hospitality design project entails an 8-story boutique hotel placed atop the cliffs of Antalya overlooking the turquoise coast. This establishment aims to offer guests an elevated and luxurious wellness experience. Key amenities that will be within the hotel are a restaurant, bar, spa, and a rooftop pool. The hotel’s aesthetic will seamlessly blend modern elements with architectural and design inspirations derived from Antalya’s historical background.
