• Final chance to lift and divide clumps of summer flowering herbaceous perennials • Plant summer-flowering bulbs • Deadhead daffodils as flowers fade but leave foliage for about 6 weeks to fully die back

• Prune spring flowering shrubs such as forsythia , kerria, berberis, and ribes as soon as flowers have faded • Cut back lavender when plants reach the size you want to avoid them becoming sparse

• Mow lawn regularly to avoid excessive growth • Apply spring weed and feed treatment for best results • Rake out moss and thatch and aerate to improve drainage
