Br ian R. L innek ens - Santa M onica Rotar y Club Committees Brian R. Linnekens has been involved with the Santa Monica Rotary Club for over four years. Mr. Linnekens was chosen to join the Rotary Club because of his standing in the community and his adherence to the high morals standards of the Club. Brian Linnekens has held positions on several committees in the Santa Monica Rotary Club, including the Meetings Committee and coveted Recruiting Committee. Mr. Linnekens also reinvigorated the long dormant Rotary ‘Round LA Committee which gave fellow Rotarians the ability visit venues around the Los Angeles area which otherwise might not have been available to the public. In one such event, Brian Linnekens organized a trip to a local culinary institute where fellow Rotarians were given the opportunity to learn from and cook with some of Los Angeles’ top chefs. After an evening of culinary wizardry, those Rotarians then enjoyed their own food accompanied by music and each other’s fellowship. In another event, Brian Linnekens organized a private tour of the Getty Villa, followed by a specialized wine tasting at the Rosenthal Vineyard Center. This event was so popular it has been revisited over the years, and promises to continue to be a favorite of the membership.
