Brewster Academy Class of 2014 Scholarship Fund Raising the Bar and Making History

BUILDING ON TRADITION. LEAVING A LEGACY. The Senior Class Gift is a time honored Academy tradition. Students and their families have worked together to raise funds to support a gift to the Academy as a way to thank the Brewster community and leave behind a reminder of their time on campus. This year, the Class of 2014 is making history as the first senior class to raise funds for an endowed scholarship. The fund will continue to grow over time as part of Brewster’s endowment and through additional gifts to support deserving students for years to come. Thanks to their generosity and foresight, the members of the Class of 2014 and their parents will leave a everlasting mark on the Academy and countless future students who will be afforded the opportunity of a Brewster experience. FINANCIAL AID - HOW IT WORKS: “I came to Brewster because I wanted smaller class sizes, a chance to have a better relationship with my teachers, and lastly to play hockey, but I have found so much more. Brewster is a place that lets you be the person you want to be.” – Meaghan Spurling ’13 Recipient of the Thomas A. Palazzo Memorial Scholarship pictured with Kate Buesser ’07 at the 2013 Winni Classic

Brewster awards financial aid to over 30 percent of the student body, both boarders and day students, from all over the country and world! Endowed scholarship funds at Brewster require an initial investment of $25,000 and continue to grow through continued donor support and earned interest. Endowed funds are especially good for scholarships as they protect the inital investment while dispensing an annual yield in perpruity! The larger an endowed fund becomes, the more potential it has to impact multiple students each year.
