OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

FRESHWATER BIOLOGY

Brewster’s unique location in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire allows you to make Lake Winnipesaukee your classroom. In this projectdriven science lab course, students study on one of the most beautiful bodies of water in the country to learn about watersheds, water access as a social justice issue, aquatic ecosystems, and human impacts on freshwater.

INTERIM STUDIES

Every winter students at Brewster get to pick a ten-day mini-course that takes them out of the classroom and into a new topic or

BEYOND BREWSTER

adventure they’d like to explore. Some Interim Studies experiences take place on campus or in New England, others happen across the country. Recent offerings include Baseball & Broadcasting at Jet Blue Park in Florida, Winter Hiking, Accelerated Coding, Outward Bound Hike through Joshua Tree National Park, The Art of Comics, Social Justice Lessons in Alabama, Upcycled Fashion, and Dog Sledding. Brewster’s Interim Studies program is the pinnacle of hands-on learning, where students make lifelong memories and friendships.

GLOBAL PROGRAMS

Brewster students have the chance to spend an entire trimester learning and living in the lush Canary Islands or historic city of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. In these immersive experiences, you will share adventures across Europe and study an enriching curriculum with Brewster faculty. PLUS: A special trip to Cádiz, Spain for 9th graders!

STUDENT LIFE

The weekend activities here provide all of us a chance to try new things and hang out with friends, as well as make use of our surroundings by doing things like hiking, skiing, and being outside.
