Stuart McCallum Band

Classic English folk band reunited after 25 years and featuring the vocals of renowned folk singer John Tams – better known as Rifleman Hagman in the hit Sean Bean ITV series ‘Sharpe’.

From jazz beginnings to DJ culture, Stuart McCallum’s music is ‘alternative jazz’ - a distillation of influences, creating a sound that is concentrated and distinctive. As a member of the Cinematic Orchestra, Stuart performed on many of the band’s critically acclaimed albums.

STAFF PICK

Back by popular demand. Acclaimed Scottish folk songstress returns to the Brewery following her sellout gig last year for another night of beautiful traditional music.

I saw the Abyssinians sing ‘Satta Massagana’ and it sounded as beautiful as it did when first recorded in 1969. It’s amazing that they’re still touring and this opportunity to see them live in Kendal should not be missed!
