Whatever the weather, summer at the Brewery promises a colourful cornucopia of exciting gigs, performances and exhibitions with artists and entertainers converging on Kendal from across the globe.

There’s a great choice of eating and drinking at the Brewery – something for every taste. The Brewery has somewhere to eat all day, every day of the week. IN THE DAY The Warehouse: Shabby chic at its most bohemian, serving a range of drinks from Farrer’s speciality teas to bottles of local Hawkshead ale. It also serves the best latte in town. Eat locally made cakes, homemade scones and soups.

Our well-stocked bar and restaurant serve a range of superb cask ales from around the UK and a wide selections of bottled beers along with a large range of wines, spirits and soft drinks. Both venues have a bustling off beat atmosphere and should be part of any night out in Kendal. We offer the Brewery’s superb pizzas and the fabulous ‘Brewery Tapas’ menu every day. The informal family friendly surroundings make this one of Kendal’s most popular places to eat.

In the autumn we are offering early bird discounts so the earlier you book the cheaper the ticket. Keep checking the website as events get posted throughout the summer.

Classic English folk band reunited after 25 years and featuring the vocals of renowned folk singer John Tams – better known as Rifleman Hagman in the hit Sean Bean ITV series ‘Sharpe’.

From jazz beginnings to DJ culture, Stuart McCallum’s music is ‘alternative jazz’ - a distillation of influences, creating a sound that is concentrated and distinctive. As a member of the Cinematic Orchestra, Stuart performed on many of the band’s critically acclaimed albums.

I saw the Abyssinians sing ‘Satta Massagana’ and it sounded as beautiful as it did when first recorded in 1969. It’s amazing that they’re still touring and this opportunity to see them live in Kendal should not be missed!

One of the most influential reggae bands of all time. Famed for their superb vocal harmonies an Abyssinians live gig is one of the great joys in roots reggae music.

Dead Belgian play the music of Jacques Brel, one the greatest songwriters and performers of the 20th century. The songs are performed in French, English and Flemish and the atmosphere they create on stage is both authentic and electric.

Printfest Printmaking Workshop Inspired by the theme of ‘Inside the Forest’, explore printmaking with found natural materials and create a collection of prints to take home with you. New Work Victor van Velzen breathes amusing and sometime bizarre new life into old bones. Combining manmade and natural materials, he creates startling new sculptures inspired by popular culture and environmental issues. The exhibition will feature a new commission for the Brewery, inspired by the exhibition’s Grizedale setting.
