Named our number one event for an occasional drink, a two-step, and “ All things old, repurposed for new.” ––– a culmination of the event enriching NY’s fashion culture, with community, collaboration, and connection.
Just finishing up its twenty-fourth activation of upcycled/second-hand menswear prowess, this pop-up market & sale, Alfargo’s Marketplace is carving its imprint on the city’s fashion scene ––– with a timeless calligraphy, that emits both long-lasting and Here to Stay! , and quickly might we add. Nevertheless, it seems this once small monthly activation started between four fashion bros (@stephoncarson,@staycrispymyfriends, @ta.ska.shi @zangan), has turned into an entire community of fashionable dapper-dans and chic-chicks (say that two times fast :) , all gathering together to enjoy a night of fashionable conversation, shopping, and if we're “keepin’ it authentic” , turnin’ up , in the name of style. Hosted at Madison Squares NeueHouse , the event’s elegant space, and seamless brand curation call forth an array of young and seasoned enthusiasts. Hence, the vibe is always inclusive and greatly reflects the eclecticism that often follows menswear.
If we’re “keepin’ it authentic” stepping into Neuehouse to attend a monthly Alfargo’s Marketplace Sale , feels like you’ve stepped into the past, and the future all at the same time. You could easily spot the Generations up-and-coming, looking for that statement piece to put the finishing touches on a fit. As well as, a Seasoned OG’ looking to add some new flare to his collection of vintage finds.
And whats most gratifying about the atmosphere, you’d overhear inclusive conversations between them both about tapered bottoms, helms, or how they’re equally in high anticipation of the release of Atlanta based artist “Young Thug” , –– all while the DJ @beatsbyflora (A She Boss) boast’s the rappers discography throughout the affluent space that is ––– Neuehouse
Did we mention, that this is happening, while everyone in the room is “ Fitted Forever” like a wedding band for a bad b*tch without a prenup (yes, it get’s edgy over here) .
Moreover, “ Authentic Fit Culture” comes alive at Alfargo’s, because of its keen effort to create an atmosphere tailored to Curated Collaboration. ––– Alfargo’s makes a point to partner with growing local brands and tastemakers, some/ but not all include the likes of @epaulet, @lassanainyc, @manxtailoring, @tattood.cloth, rising @J.McLaughlinMens, and the esteemed and most colorful Steven Guarnaccia (@sguarnaccia) Illustrator, Designer, Author, and Professor Emeritus of illustration at Parsons School of Design.

For a community to truly become, “Classic” correlating to obtaining “high value” , it must never be barred by vain pursuits alone, and always in some fashion; must surpass social construct. Nevertheless, “ high value” communities, are communities that are resourceful, insightful, and abundant in knowledge, and knowledge is most abundant from different perspectives, and an abundance of different perspectives is arrived from inclusive communities.
Alfargo’s Marketplace is the best example of a Classic Community because its Foundation (TWA pg.11) , is solidly built on shared interests, and not societyconditioned people bias’.
Although the activation is centered around second-hand upsycled clothing, it’s brand, much like the TWA Hotel, has amassed great acclaim for old things repurposed for new. Alfargo’s is, “Classic” in culture, yet it’s atmosphere is foward moving and progressive, which can only be accomplished through it’s broad community of diverse patrons –––Inclusivity.
Nevertheless, the most gratifying communities are not always found in the places of our origin, or the places we initially feel most socially comfortable, we have the power to build community through humility, fostered by shared interest. In Alfargo’s case, community is found in the appreciation for an occasional drink, a two-step, and “ All things old, repurposed for new.”

Like a “Classic” Boy Band, these four fashion bros have become the “heart throbs” of New York’s everyday fashion scene. –– Meeting each other through the grape vine of the city’s art & fashion communties, these tastemakers have made a resounding impact in the Big Apple, with their unrelenting belief in the power of community, collaboration, and connection. Futhermore, from the humble beginings of their first market sale, hosted in an empty east village storefront in Sept. 2021’, to now being Neuehouse’ most classic monthly activation 2024’, they’ve trailblazed the resistance of adversity, and have found unpresendented success with their menwear pop-up & sale Alfargo’s Marketplace, ––– The Moment!
The four have gone on record in publications like Best of New York®, NewYork Mag®, Esquire®, and GQ®, to bring their own unique flares and talents to their very fall fitting named group “The Cozy Boys”. Moreover, Zane Gan a filmmaker and photographer, Elias Marte a watch & accesories expert, Stephon Carson & Nick Andry having both extensive backgrounds in retail administration & tailorship, band their artisty and meanswear genuis’ together to cultivate an entire community of like-minded menswear fashion enthusiasts. Nevertheless, ahead of the new year, and always ahead of the curve of second hand menswear prowess, the group will debut their highly anticipated menswear activation for it’s 25th Milestone in Buisness, A Shopping Day Party! this Sunday Oct. 19th, 2024, at ––– Neuehouse. A true testiment to this issue’s mantra, Staying Power!
Nevertheless, the success hasn’t come easily; like a “Making The Band” episode (No Diddy), the four have endured the grusome days of taxing set-up and planning, just to see only one or two patrons show up at their market. Through much tenacity, resillency, and fortitude, now have grown to see NY’s most prominent influencers, designers, and the who’s who, lining up to get inside and take part in their inclusive curation of menswear prowess. ––– Hence, it appears that Alfargo’s Marketplace is here to stay! Remember you heard it hear first, at “The Home of the most Leading Content Creation Worldwide”, “The Cozy Boys” on Madison square…have finally bitten off their piece of that Big Apple! Nonetheless, If you’ve got plans somewhere else…play hookie like you do for church every sunday, but whatever you do, don’t miss The Moment! that is ––– Alfargo’s Marketplace & Sale, Sunday Oct. 20th, 2024, 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. at Madison Sqaures staple fashion week location––– Neuehouse. R.S.V.P. for quick entry! it’s Chilly! ––- Has all this come from putting community first?, Surely!…and it goes without saying, pop out “Fitted Forever, like a wedding band for a bad b*tch without a prenup, or Stay Home”. Bless.
