Showing the kind of perseverance it took to make it through four years of high school, the Heritage High Class of 2011 – and the thousands who came to watch them graduate – stoically endured a frigid storm that swept over commencement exercises last weekend. “I can’t see out of my glasses,” Principal Andy Parsons said to the 500 rain-drenched graduates before him. The conversation was meant to focus on academics, accomplishment and success, but for many at Ohmstede Field Friday night, the topic du jour was meteorological. “I’m trying to keep things brief because my goal is to finish before it rains,” said Liberty High School Principal Patrick Walsh.
