Together, we provide access to the best chance of survival.

For over a quarter of a century, Brent’s Place has been a lifeline for thousands of families, bridging the gap between life-saving medical treatment and home. Last year alone, nearly 400 families found solace and support in our specialized accommodations and comprehensive, individualized family support programs.

As the sole provider of long-term, Safe-Clean housing and accompanying respite support in the Rocky Mountain West, we embark on a mission to transform lives and foster healing – one family at a time.

Since our inception in 1998, Brent’s Place has provided access to life-saving medical treatment for 2,168 patients and their families

This allows caregivers to focus entirely on their loved one’s treatment and recovery, free from the overwhelming costs of relocation, housing, food, and other basic necessities.

Community generosity makes this possible, helping us create a safe, nurturing environment where families can focus on what truly matters: healing and hope.

Our Doors of Hope and Healing

Every year, countless families face the overwhelming challenge of relocating to the Denver Metro area in the midst of a medical emergency. When life-saving treatments are unavailable in their hometowns, they turn to Brent’s Place for refuge.

As the only safe, long-term, family-centered housing near Colorado’s top hospitals, Brent’s Place grants access to critical treatments and clinical trials for pediatric and adult patients from underserved backgrounds and regions. These treatments include bone marrow transplantation, CAR-T therapy, oncology, hematology, and solid organ transplantation.

Safe-Clean Accommodations

At Brent’s Place, the safety and health of our residents are our top priorities. We adhere to rigorous cleaning requirements designed to minimize exposure to harmful bacteria, dander, dirt, dust, mold and other airborne toxins often present in public spaces. We equip our residents with essential education and select cleaning products to maintain a Safe-Clean environment, creating a sanctuary for healing.

More Than Just Shelter

At Brent’s Place, our Safe-Clean approach sets us apart, but what truly differentiates us is our unwavering focus on comprehensive family support. Unlike other hospitality houses across the nation, we offer deeper, individualized care for families during their extended stays, providing a lifeline of hope and resilience.

Deepening Our Impact

In 2023, we prioritized and innovated the way we invested in personalized support for each resident family. Our dedicated team developed personalized programs, inspired by past resident feedback, to support patients and their loved ones in navigating the emotional and social challenges of the medical journey. From meal support and arts and crafts to caregiver yoga and mental wellness sessions, we alleviate stress and foster a nurturing environment where families can find strength and comfort.

Comfort in Community

One of the most profound aspects of staying at Brent’s Place is the emotional support shared among resident families. Only those facing similar circumstances can truly understand the challenges of putting normal life on hold to care for a critically ill loved one.

In 2023, we celebrated the first full year of resumed in-person activities allowing families to connect and build a supportive community. These interactions provided moments of joy and respite from the overwhelming stress of dealing with a life-threatening illness.

Last year we also further customized services to meet each family’s unique needs. Whether it’s assistance with medical equipment costs, addressing food security issues, providing job training, or helping with relocation, our team is here to support each family’s complex journey.

Join Our Cadre of Volunteers

Last year was also dedicated to rebuilding and re-energizing our volunteer force, which is crucial to maximizing our impact on each family. Whether preparing nourishing meals for our residents, restocking our food pantry, or greeting visitors at the door, volunteers are vital to our mission. Every hour they contribute helps offset our costs, allowing us to allocate more funding to our programs and services.
