Thursday 25th May: Year 6 interviews

Students will be sent an appointment time to come into school with their parent/carer. This is an chance to get to know you on an individual basis and ensure that we take into account any concerns that you may have about starting at BSFG so that we can ensure a highly successful transition.

Tuesday 4th July: Induction day

Year 6 students come to Brentford for the day to get to know the students who will be in their class and year group in September, to meet key staff and to get to know the school. The day runs from 8.50am - 3.00pm

Helping Transition From Primary to secondary education A Personalised visit Summer Term Year 6 - we will make visits to feeder schools. This is a good opportunity for girls to ask any questions about life at BSFG. support Early intervention by the Learning Support Department or for gifted students, for additional targeted provision.

BSFG Student buddy A friendly welcoming letter from a current Year 7 buddy. Our new entrants will meet their buddies on ‘Induction Day’. Buddies are provided to support Year 7 girls adapt to their new school environment.

buddy lunches During the first weeks in September, there is an opportunity for Year 7 to meet with their buddy again over a bite to eat.

Peer Counsellors A team of Year 10 Peer Counsellors committed to supporting each tutor group through the first term.
