Homecoming: A Piece Of ,92 By: Rebecca Fitzgibbon November 8th was an exciting night at Notre Dame High School. Homecoming, which is an important piece of the "Notre Dame Puzzle", took place, and students, parents, and alumni came together to join in 1991's Homecoming festivities. The Irish bleachers were packed with football fans. Everyone anxiously awaited the announcement of the new King and Queen. The court consisted of: Mark Laurinaitis, Tim Stout, Todd Kauffman, Chris Heitzman, Brendan Prophett,

Michelle Tritt, Kelly Kerwick, Kelly Farrior, Dawn McGrath, and Kristen Alia. Each member of the court was escorted onto the field by either their father or mother. Brendan Prophett and Michelle Tritt were crowned the Homecoming King and Queen of 1991. The two, then, were driven around the track amidst applause from fellow classmates and the fans. Varsity fall athletes also took part in the night's festivities. Before the game, they were honored by parading across the

football field. The Irish football players finally came running onto the field, ready to blow away the Lawrence Cardinals. Notre Dame emerged victorious, 46- 18. Mr. James, an assistant coach, summed up the game well by saying, "It was a total team effort." The Homecoming activities were also a total team effort, uplifting the school spirit. Thanks to all who participated.
