Biogr Cook was an astronomer and explorer and he found new lands but he had three adventures but He died on his third.

Cook was famous for finding species and many other things. Also for finding NewZealand and Australia.

Why did he do it? Cook went on his expedition because the king of Britain wanted new lands for Britain. But on his first adventure he was going to obverse planet Venus.

Cook's first voyage On Cook's first voyage his aim was to observe planet Venus. Later on 1768 he and his crew arrived on Tahiti and that is where he observed Venus.

After he observed Venus he was given secret orders to find out if anyone lived on New Zealand.


Cook found out that there were people on New Zealand. But they were friendly so cook mapped the Place and they traded with people there. Also he mapped New Zealand and it is very similar to our map of NewZealand now.

Australia! Later on 1770 cook was was going back to the UK but he suddenly crashed on the east cost of Australia! While he was on Australia he found new animals like kangaroos and he found many dierent plants. His crew was amazed. He arrived on Botany Bay. They took samples of plants back to the UK.


When he came back the English leaders were very pleased about what he had found. They were very amazed about what he had done.

Cook's journey ended on 1771 while he did many other amazing things.


Cook's second On 1772 he left from England to the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of Africa. Heavy storms brought fog and ice, snow, and sleet. Almost everything on his ship was frozen. Later huge ice fields. It made Cook spend the winter in New Zealand.

Let's go! Later Cook did not give up easily. After it was better Cook went all the way around the Antarctic! He mapped every corner. He found new things! He discovered the penguins and many Other things about the Arctic!

Cook's third voyage. (Goodbye Cook) On 1776 Cook set sail for the Pacific again. He revisited New Zealand. The people remembered him and they welcomed back. He left NewZealand and he set sail to the north coast of North America.


He saw many different animals as well. But then there were ice packs they were gigantic. He discovered the polar bears,walrus and many other strange animals. In 1779 Cook had gone to a short shore to get a small boat that the local people had stolen. But then the people there did not know what Cook had come for so he was killed.

Cook's death Cook died on 1781 he was killed by George Carter. He was bashed by a club on the back of his head. Then he fell into the water and drowned into the sea. Before that he was trying to get away from these people but then he was hit by the club. His men returned the final journey ended on 1780.
