President’s Office New Brebeuf Jesuit Board of Trustee members At the May 2011 Brebeuf Jesuit Board of Trustees meeting, Chair Ernie Vargo II announced the appointment of the new trustees for the 2011-2012 school year. The new trustees began their term on July 1, 2011. Wally Brant ’67 is the President and CEO of Indiana Oxygen, a thirdgeneration, familyowned Indiana company that manufactures and distributes industrial, laboratory and medical gases, as well as welding equipment and supplies. Wally, and his wife, Kathy, are the parents of Anne (Brant) Hayes ’97 and Jay ’01. Rev. Michael Christiana, SJ, is Brebeuf ’s Vice President for Mission and Identity, as well as the Superior of the Brebeuf Jesuit Community. Michael was previously the Co-Director of Community Service at Brebeuf from 2003-2006. He is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., earned his Masters of Divinity from The University of Chicago, and his

M.A. in philosophy from Loyola University Chicago. Dan Lechleiter ’97 is an attorney at Baker & Daniels LLP, where he concentrates his practice on patent litigation. He currently serves as a volunteer co-chair of the Restaurant Super Service Committee of the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee, the finance committee of the United Way of Central Indiana’s board of directors, and also serves as a member of the boards of the Boy Scouts of America, Crossroads of America Council and the Hoosier Salon Patron’s Association Inc. Mark Lubbers ’72 is currently the Project Director on Leucadia Development. Until 2006, Mark served as a senior advisor for Gov. Mitch Daniels and a strategy consultant in the “Daniels for Governor” campaign. Mark also played key roles in the campaigns of Richard Lugar and Robert Orr. In addition to his political involvement, Mark has held various high level roles at Conseco, Wellpoint and Hudson Institute. Mark graduated from Purdue with a B.S. from the Krannert School of Business and received his MBA from Harvard University. Rev. James Riordan, SJ, is currently the Associate Director of the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice at Xavier University. Jim was an adjunct professor at both University of Detroit Mercy and DePaul University Chicago. He has
