Performance

The GWM-IE boasts a vertical heat exchanger made of premium stainless steel. To optimize condensation, the unit has especially designed helical tubes inside the exchanger shell that effectively recovers most of the usable heat from the fuel.

As combustion air produced by the burner passes through the fins of the helical tubes, heat is transferred to the water moving through the tubes. The heat capture is so effective that the combustion air condenses, achieving an efficiency rating of up to 95% AFUE.

Depending on the heating requirements of your home, the GWM-IE's modulating burner can fire at a rate as low as 20 percent of its full capacity. This gives you an opportunity to cut back on your fuel costs. By operating at a low flame setting and making gradual output adjustments as necessary, the GWM-IE's modulating technology optimizes energy efficiency.

Uninterrupted modulation also allows the GWM-IE to keep an accurate temperature without constant on and off cycling, resulting in low sound levels and improved overall reliability.

With its electronic ignition control, the WGM-IE burns fuel only when necessary, reducing energy consumption.

Safety

The GWM-IE has a stainless steel mesh burner that provides greater resistance to corrosion and oxidation than competitive aluminized steel burners.

The GWM-IE has a CPVC flue condensate collector that offers greater protection against corrosion and leaking than other competitive metallic flue collectors.
