The Armchair Advocates programme is designed to support and encourage Black and minority ethnic people over 50 to develop the skills and confidence to get more involved in the decisions that affect them. Run by brap, Armchair Advocates provides training on online communication, how to voice opinions, social media, and a range of other skills. We’re also working with older people to increase their involvement in consultations where and how they want.
As part of this programme, we’ve put together this guide which shows:
the nature of current consultation and engagement opportunities (e.g. online, questionnaire, meeting. etc)
how to contact organisations that are implementing their duty to enable public involvement through feedback or complaints channels
