New winter attraction coming in Branson By K.D. Michaels, Staff Writer A leader in Branson entertainment, The Track Family Fun Park is bringing a new type of winter fun to Branson. The Track is teaming up with The Holidays on Ice to open an ice rink next to the Branson Ferris Wheel. The new attraction, set to open in November, will be 7,200 square feet in size, the same size as New York City’s Rockefeller Center ice rink. The oval-shaped outdoor rink will measure 72 feet by 100 feet. “We are excited to welcome The Holidays on Ice to Branson,” said The Track Family Fun Park’s co-owner and CEO Craig Wescott, adding that the opening of the new ice rink is the result of the efforts of many. “We are thrilled to provide such a wonderful location for Branson residents and visitors to gather this Christmas season!” According to Rich Yakkey of The Holidays on Ice, Branson was an easy choice when searching for a place to open the ice rink. “Our goal is for people to have unique memories and holiday experiences,” said Yakkey. “We look forward to adding ice skating to what Branson and The Track Family Fun Park currently offer to

and night, with a unique lighting display set to Christmas music adding to the excitement each evening. Branson’s ice rink is scheduled to open in mid-November and will remain open until the new year, or longer.
