RIVERSIDE PARK UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

While my mother was the head of outreach for our church, she asked me to create an eye-catching poster that would be displayed in window around an active and diverse area of Jacksonville. This poster measured approximately 13” x 19” and smaller, matching designs were used in advertisements and announcements on the church’s facebook page.

PROJECT BRIEF:

Holmes Custom is a long standing fixture in the Jacksonville area, though many know it by another name - Holmes Stamps & Sign. While Holmes got their start in stamps and signage, they eventually exanded, necessitating a rebrand (and thus Holmes Custom was born) Below include some of the signage designs I created in my time there. Top: Vinyl Banner, 2’ x 6’; Left: Vinyl on aluminum; Right: 12:18” UV Printed on Plastic or Engraved on two-tone plastic.

STAMP DESIGN

HOLMES CUSTOM PROJECT BRIEF:

As mentioned previously, Holmes Custom was also a big stamp manufacturer. Below are the top sellers I created for the site SimplyStamps.com and 904Custom.com.

Pictured left is the “Armstrong” stamp. During my time at Holmes, the Armstrong climbed to the top 10 address stamps within the company.

At top right is the top selling in a large series of dog stamps I created for 904 Custom. By the time the project was complete I had single handedly created a dog stamp similiar to this for nearly every AKC recognized breed and the site 904 Custom (where it was listed) had climbed from our number 5 site to nearly number 1.

At bottom right you’ll see one of the most popular teacher stamps I created. Without assistance of content and SEO, this stamp sold 3 times in its first 24 hours.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

One of my roles while employed with Holmes Custom was to create designs for new hardgoods that lived on the site, 904 Custom. The processes associated with the products shown are sublimation (the garden flags on the opposite page and the coffee mugs), and laser engraving (the cutting boards and wine tumbler). As the Team Lead of Photography and Social Media I was regularly tasked with coming up with dynamic social media posts to sell our used comuter equioment.

Middle: 360 degree panoramic manipulated in photoshop for Earth Day.

Left: Chalkboard design was made with a combination of hand drawing an, tracing and Photoshop. Top design was created as request from company executives when this piece was such a success.

When I transitioned focus for my photography business over to weddings, I knew we wanted to keep with the original female silhouette but make it less childlike (the prior was a ponytailed girl). At the time, bold stripes were on the up and coming and Kate Spade was all the rage - those alone were the inspiration for the brand. Pictured are the brand board (far left), business card (bottom right), social media card (top right), and a rack card front and back (opposite).

“Pictured above are the front and back designs of the wedding invitations I worked with my now sisterin-law to design for her marriage to my brother. She wanted something with lavender and succulents and we were coming up empty handed in our searches through traditional channels. This motif was then carried through to other wedding signage like the gift table and directional signage.

“Much like the situation associated with the images on the opposite page, my fiance were having a very difficult time finding a templated design for our shower that fit our personality and theme (which was Jimmy Buffett in case you were wondering. I was able to find assettts on creative market that assisted me in making this in about 2 hours.
