TAKING BODY MEASUREMENTS GUIDE

A. NECK

The measurement is taken around the neck, at the collar level.

B. CHEST

The measurement is taken around the fullest part of the upper chest, keeping the tape under the arms and around the shoulder blades.

C. WAIST

The measurement is taken around the waist, keeping one finger between the tape and the body, for a comfortable fit.

D. INSEAM

Measure from the top of the inner pant leg seam (the crotch) to the opening at the bottom of the pant leg.

E. SLEEVE

Measure the length from the top stitching on the shoulder to the bottom of the wrist. Be careful not to measure too high above the wrist.

A. BUST

The measurement is taken around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape under the arms and around the shoulder blades.

All AIW products are manufactured from laboratory tested fabrics and treatments that conform with AUS/NZ safety standards. This is to ensure that the comfort and wear of AIW products are of the highest standard, and are suitable for the harshest Australian working environments.

AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND WORK GARMENT SAFETEY STANDARDS

AS/NZS 4602.1:2011

This standard requires at least 0.2m2 of Hi-Vis fabric (AS/NZS 1906.4:2010) on the front and back to meet the day and or day/ night standard. Garments designed to this standard have a compliant reflective taping configuration.

AS/NZS 2622:1996

AIW workwear garments meet the requirements of AS/NZS 2622:1996 which outlines the Australian Standard for labelling of fibre content in textile products.

AS/NZS 1906.4:2010

We use Hi-Vis materials which are tested to Australian Standard 1906.4:2010 which outlines the requirements for fluorescent capabilities and the chromaticity reading to ensure that bright colours are within the required colour range.

AS/NZS 4399:1996

AIW workwear garments provide protection against ultraviolet radiation transmitted from the sun. The sun protection rating shown is rated at: good protection (UPF 15, 20), very good protection (25, 30, 35) or excellent protection (40, 45, 50, 50+).

AS 2001.2.18-1987

Some of AIW garments have water-repellent or waterresistant coating which stops moisture from reaching the wearer in wet-weather conditions.
