A University-based Fertility Program At the UCSF Center for Reproductive Health, we are proud of our legacy of providing leading-edge care, conducting research and pioneering numerous fertility innovations.

Today, we continue to offer and develop breakthroughs in areas such as assessing ovarian aging, ovarian stimulation, and embryo selection. Our unique interdisciplinary team includes board-certified reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, male reproductive health urologists, psychologists, genetic counselors, specialized nurse coordinators and a staff trained in meeting the special needs of fertility patients. This collaboration results in advances in care that can only be found at a leading university-based medical center.

The expertise of the embryology laboratory is a critical component of any successful fertility program. The UCSF Center for Reproductive Health embryology lab, one of the best labs in the nation for fertility services, certified by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), CLIA – a federal regulatory agency, and the California Tissue Bank, incorporates the most advanced state-of-the-art equipment and filtration systems to nurture healthy embryos.

We offer free monthly evening information seminars at our San Francisco and Marin locations focused on assisted reproductive technology (ART). Led by our physicians and staff, these seminars provide an opportunity for you to meet us, learn more about the many options we offer and ask questions either in the group or privately with our staff.

Many of our physicians are internationally recognized leaders in infertility research and are pioneers in the field. All have extensive experience and success in the clinical aspects of treating infertility and assisting patients in making informed decisions. Our team collaborates on difficult cases, working together across several medical disciplines to create the most personalized and effective treatment for each patient. You benefit directly from the expertise of many minds from the leading institutions in the nation, with a variety of backgrounds, experience and knowledge, all focused on devising the best treatment for you.

Our staff, certified in embryology and andrology (male evaluation) by the American Board of Bioanalysts, respect and care for each embryo in the laboratory to ensure the best outcomes possible. Additionally, we employ high ethical standards and transparency so you are fully aware of the care of your eggs, sperm and embryos at all times.
