the staten island site is on a sloping lot bounded by carroll place, st. marks place, a church rectory, and a residential row just a block from the harbor. as a means of translating the site into usable information, an informal interpretation of wind forces was taken to gain an understanding of the natural forces on the site. this data was interpreted into vectors of different types, weights, and thickness to track the wind direction, intensity, and frequency. this was one element of information to layer upon others to create the overall network.
