INDUCTION BOOKLET

Welcome

A warm welcome to all our new families starting RGS Surrey Hills in September!

This Induction Pack will give you a flavour of the range of activities that you will enjoy and can be a part of during your journey through RGS Surrey Hills.

As you may know, there is an Induction Day for new pupils on Thursday 4th September and we will write with more details in due course. The first day of term for the whole school will then be on Friday 5th September - this will be the first opportunity for the school to be together as a whole after the summer break.

Ferny Crofts, Brockenhurst Hampshire

Ferny Crofts is situated in the heart of the New Forest, ten miles from Southampton and five miles from Lyndhurst. This is the sixth year that RGS Surrey Hills has used this centre as the base for its Year 7 expedition, as the 31 acre site provides a safe setting for the students. Its location enables groups to appreciate the environment of the New Forest and allows the school to utilise the facilities and great range of activities the centre has to offer.

Expeditions: All students attend at least 1 expedition or trip per year that is included in the school fees. These are part of our dynamic curriculum. Other expeditions are held throughout the year as optional extras.
