BIOGRAPHY

Miguel Peidro was born in 1950 in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain. He recived artistic training at a prívate studio alongside well-known Spanish painters such as Vicente Moya, Alex Alemany, and Juan Ferri. Miguel Peidro holds a special sensibility and awareness towards nature that clearly resonates through his works. His choices of the panoramic format accentuates the landscape and invites the viewer to partake in the artist’s vision. Upon viewing Peidro’s landscapes, one cannot help but get caught in the quiet and meditative portrayals of the land. Light reflecting in the water and other surfaces is a mysterious phenomenon to Peidro, which he explores with intrigue and vigor. The water not only refelcts the light, but the viability of the natural world that Pediro admires. Peidro´s attraction to the force of nature is indisputable. His admiration for both painting and nature translates eloquently onto canvas through use of precise brushstrokes and thick layers of paint. In the artist’s own words, “My passion for both painting and nature are mixed within myself. This is the reason I paint landscapes. I find much inspiration in taking nature walks during my travels throughout Europe… I just paint what I like.”Miguel Peidro’s Works has been extensively exhibited and collected throughout Spain, Japan, Portugal, China, inclusing an exposition at the Time Arts Museum in Beijing, and now in the United States.
