BalletRox presents the 11th annual production of Anthony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker at Wheelock Family Theatre. The Urban Nutcracker captures the essence of a multicultural blending of sound and movement with its interpretation of the 19th century fairytale classic. The cast of professional dancers and richly talented and diverse youth of Boston, seamlessly combine ballet, swing, hip hop and step with the classical score of Tchaikovsky and the unforgettable beat of Duke Ellington.
