WINDHOVER CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS Windhover Center for the Performing Arts is located in the Pigeon Cove section of Rockport, near Halibut Point. In the summer, it offers professional modern dance and theater performances to the public, along with master dance classes, workshops and movement retreats. In the summer of 2021, professional dance residencies will take place, culminating in open rehearsals to show new work. In late August, a performance weekend of live musicians performing with New Yorkbased dancers in a program of solos and duets on Windhover’s expansive outdoor stage will celebrate the power of the arts. Performances take place in the back garden with plenty of space for socially distanced seating. For details on performances, please visit the website.
