Spring Sports Wrap Up —By Athletic Director Vincent Nolasco

Dear Bosco Tech School Community, We had a very busy April month with five of our spring sports finishing up their seasons. All five spring sports: baseball, golf, tennis, volleyball, track and field all competed their best and showed great improvement throughout the season. Baseball finished either in second place in the Santa Fe league under first-year Head Varsity Coach James Luna. The baseball team qualified for the CIF-Southern Section Division 7 playoffs. The official brackets will be released on May 7. During league play, we defeated two ranked League Division 7 opponents (#2nd ranked St. Genevieve and #9th ranked Cantwell). In addition, there was at one time in the league season, four out of the six teams in the Santa Fe league ranked in the top 10. We were ranked #9 the following week after defeating ninth ranked Cantwell. Tiger playoffs bound for 2019. Good luck to our baseball team in the CIF-SS Division 7 playoffs! Track and Field—We have, as of now, two participants qualified for the CIF-SS Division 4 Track and Field Prelims on Saturday, May 6th. Junior, Jake Ayala was league champion in discus. Senior Justin Roybal finished third in discus and also qualified. Senior Christian Perez was league champion again in the 800 meters, 1600 meters and the 3200 meters. In addition, it was his third year being league champion in the 800 meters. Sophomore, Daniel Cendejas was runner up in the 1600 and 3200 meters. Good luck to these four student-athletes who qualified in seven events for the CIF-SS Division 4 Track and Field Prelims on May 6! GO, TIGERS! Vincent Nolasco Athletic Director
