David and Helen McKay bought number eight Sutherland Gardens as soon as it was completed in 2010, having fallen in love with the property’s size, flexible layout and setting. “We wanted the advantages of a new modern home but being older, were looking for a small niche development – and this was perfect on both counts,” says David. “The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly, we have a lovely garden for entertaining when the family visit – and it’s only a five minute walk to our favourite restaurant, The Contented Vine,” he adds.
