Chirnside stands elevated on a hill with spectacular views over the glorious Borders countryside.

There are magnificent views of the Cheviot Hills, The Merse and the River Tweed from many points in the village. The site has been inhabited since ancient times and the area is rich in landmarks, including the mid 12th century Parish Church, the Victorian paper mill and the Ninewells Doocot, which dates from the 16th century.
