BLOOMING GREAT TEA PARTY AT CARFRAEMILL Jo and Jim Sutherland of Carfraemill would like to invite you to their Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of Marie Curie on Tuesday 7th November. The event is being held to celebrate 20 years of business at Carfraemill. Bring a table of friends and family for a fabulous vintage-style afternoon tea party, complete with jazz, showstopper cake challenge, floral demonstration and raffle/auction. The marquee will be heated for the season and dressed for the occasion with bunting, vintage crockery and gorgeous tea party tables. Afternoon tea will include a choice of Prosecco, Prosecco cocktails or mocktails. The traditional menu will include finger sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls and savoury bites, homemade scones, meringues and interesting home bakes. Tea and coffee will, of course, be served throughout. A showstopper cake challenge is optional - keen bakers are invited to bring a decorated cake with a vintage theme. Cakes will be judged and excellent prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd awarded! We ask that cake entries are also donated as prizes for the raffle. We are delighted that Thomas Maxwell, renowned Edinburgh-based florist, will give a short demonstration of floral arrangements during the afternoon - he is hugely talented and also lots of fun! Please note that, unfortunately, we cannot cater for children at this event. Tickets are on sale now from borderevents: www.borderevents.com or call 01750 725480
