The City of Paris has active partners dedicated to urban planning and the allocation of buildings at social rates: the SEMAEST, a mixed economy company of the City of Paris, which is specialized in the economic animation of the Parisian districts in order to develop urban vitality; the GIE Paris Commerce is a unique structure that brings together all social housing providers to provide their ground-floor retail premises. Together, they make it possible to find land at attractive rates and to define a real strategy for social innovation. It is a place of emulation in favor of social innovation, which aims to create a community of committed actors. Two general ressourceries opened in 2016 and 2017, and other specialized ressourceries opened also in the last two years (bike and book recycling). Paris is supporting new and ambitious structures, such as Envie, which got the necessary funds to create a "Circular Economy Laboratory" of 560 square metres, dedicated to the promotion of recycling and and repair. It is also a place of demonstration, of sensitization and training sessions open to the public. Thanks to a partnership with the social landlord Paris Habitat, La Louve developed its activity, which gathers today more than 6,000 members who give 3 hours per month of their time to run this social and solidarity "supermarket".
