he sia storia o scienza, chimica o geografia, l’arte della cucina o quella della musica, ciò che conta è approfondire sempre di più il proprio sapere per formare una base culturale che sia la migliore possibile. Come si dice: “Impara l’arte e mettila da parte!”. Ho deciso di dedicare questo nuovo numero di Book Moda Bambini al tema della cultura, perché è giusto che se ne comprenda l’importanza fin da piccoli, senza contare che si è più propensi all’apprendimento e che è meno faticoso studiare da bambini piuttosto che da adulti. E inoltre, se i libri svolgono naturalmente un ruolo di primaria importanza, si possono assimilare tante cose nuove anche andando a visitare un museo o viaggiando in giro per il mondo, alla scoperta di luoghi, popoli e usanze sconosciuti per aprire la propria mente anche a chi è diverso da noi.

Così, abbiamo pensato di dare il nostro contributo, seppur limitato, perché “il sonno della ragione generi sempre meno mostri” e perché le nuove generazioni siano sempre più alfabetizzate, acculturate e, in una parola, “capaci”. Infatti, è vero che in questo senso molto dipende dall’istinto e dall’intuizione, ma non va assolutamente sottovalutata l’importanza della conoscenza pura e semplice. È proprio quest’ultima, non a caso, che ci rende “capaci” di affrontare anche l’impossibile. Dunque, tra sfilate, collezioni e must have per la prossima stagione calda, sfogliando le pagine di questo numero del magazine, troverete anche qualche consiglio per imparare tante cose e, soprattutto, per farle imparare ai vostri bambini, con un tocco di divertimento che non guasta mai!

hether it is history, science, chemistry, geography, cookery or music, what matters is ever broadening our knowledge to create the best possible cultural foundation. As the saying goes: “Learn the art and put it apart”. So I decided to dedicate this issue of Book Moda Bambini to the subject of learning, because it is right that it is considered important from the very earliest years, apart from the fact that it is much easier to learn as a child than as an adult.

And furthermore, although books play a role of primary importance, there is also much to be learned by visiting museums or travelling the world, discovering new places, peoples and customs; opening the mind to those who are different from us.

So we decided to make our own small contribution, because “the sleep of reason is producing fewer monsters” and because the young are increasingly literate, cultured and, in a word, “able”. In fact it is true that in this sense a lot depends on instinct and intuition, but the importance of plain, simple knowledge should not be undervalued. And it is this precisely that makes us “able” to confront even the impossible. So in browsing the pages of this issue of our magazine, between one fashion show and another and the must-haves for next summer, you will also find a few ideas on learning lots of things and, above all, how to teach them to your children, in an entertaining way, of course!

Che cosa l’ha spinta a entrare nel mondo del kidswear?

Le tante richieste ricevute da clienti, amici e negozi fidati e, in più, l’ulteriore sfida ad allargare il mondo N°21.

What led you to enter the world of kidswear?

So many requests from clients, friends and our loyal retailers as well as the challenge of expanding the N°21 brand.

Come sono i bambini che vestono N°21 Kids?

Sono bambini che esprimono la loro personalità anche attraverso ciò che indossano. Per questo ogni capo è caratterizzato da elementi che permettono loro di distinguersi.

What kind of children wear N°21 Kids?

They are children who also express their personality in their clothes. That is why every garment features something which allows them to stand out.

Che cosa si ritrova della main label nella collezione junior?

La combinazione inaspettata di tessuti, il mix di guardaroba maschile e femminile, la ricerca dei materiali.

Is anything from the main range reflected in the junior collection?

The unexpected combination of fabrics, the mixture of masculine and feminine and the carefully researched choice of fabrics.

Ci sono due opposte tendenze nel mondo del childrenswear: vestire i bambini come la mamma o il papà oppure differenziare le collezioni da quelle dell’adulto. N°21 Kids a quale delle due si avvicina di più?

Per me è importante creare un dialogo tra le collezioni uomo, donna e bambino: i tratti caratterizzanti del brand N°21 devono ritrovarsi in tutte le linee.

There are two opposing tendencies in childrenswear: one is dressing children like their mothers or fathers and the other is giving them their own styles. Which one of these most nearly applies to N°21 Kids?

For me it is important that there is a dialogue between the men’s, women’s and children’s collections: the principle features of N°21 must appear in all the ranges.

Classe 2006, di Montebelluna, in provincia di Treviso, Mattia Caminiti a soli dieci anni è già un campione italiano di kart. E la Marbel s.r.l., che dal ’90 si impone sul mercato come uno dei principali produttori di abbigliamento per bambini, ha scelto, con Daniele Alessandrini Kids, di diventare il nuovo sponsor ufficiale del giovane pilota

Non sei più solo un campione, ma anche un modello. Ti sei divertito a ricoprire questo ruolo per Daniele Alessandrini Kids?

Per me è stata un’esperienza nuova, mi hanno portato in un posto fantastico e devo dire che è stato molto divertente, anche perché lo staff di Daniele Alessandrini ha fatto di tutto per farmi sentire a mio agio.

Not only are you a champion but now you are a model too. Was it fun modelling for Daniele Alessandrini Kids?

It was a new experience for me, they took me to an amazing place and I must say it was great fun, also because the staff at Daniele Alessandrini did everything possible to make me feel comfortable.

Quale capo, tra quelli che hai indossato, ti è piaciuto di più? È stata una giornata molto intensa, abbiamo scattato sia con prodotti della collezione invernale (A/I 2015-16) sia con quelli della prossima P/E. Daniele Alessandrini mi piace molto! Tra tutti i capi ne scelgo due in particolare: il giubbotto in pelle della collezione estiva e la T-shirt con tutte le macchie di colore.

Which of the clothes you wore did you like best?

It was a long day and we photographed clothes from the winter collection (F/W 2015-16) and for next S/S. I like the Daniele Alessandrini clothes very much! From all of them I would choose the leather bomber from the summer collection and the T-shirt with all the splashes of colour.

Ti piace la moda?

Sono un bambino di 10 anni, prima di tutto amo divertirmi con i miei amici e correre in kart, però ci tengo a indossare vestiti che mi piacciono e mi fanno sentire a mio agio, quindi, in un certo senso sì, mi piace la moda.

Do you like fashion?

I am a ten year old boy, most of all I like having fun with my friends and kart racing, but I do like wearing clothes that I like and that are comfortable to wear, so in a way, yes I like fashion.

Come ci si sente a essere un campione?

Io sinceramente non mi sento un campione, ma solo un bambino con una grande passione. Di solito questo sport lo praticano figli d’arte o comunque bambini con genitori meccanici o inseriti in questo mondo. Nel mio caso, invece, è stato completamente diverso, i miei genitori non ne sapevano nulla di questo mondo, sono stato io che un giorno, per caso, ho visto una pista da kart e ho insistito affinché mio padre mi portasse dentro e mi facesse provare un kart biposto al suo fianco. Avevo tre anni, ancora mi ricordo benissimo quel momento e le sensazioni che ho provato, volevo guidarlo io a tutti i costi. Così, la settimana successiva, dopo aver tanto insistito, sono riuscito a farmi portare a un corso di guida per bambini, che, in realtà comincerebbe dai cinque anni, ma alla fine ho convinto l’istruttore a farmi provare. Beh, da quel giorno non sono mai più sceso. Non mi sento quindi un campione, ma sicuramente rispetto a molti altri bambini ho dimostrato molto carattere e voglia di inseguire i miei sogni. Questo non è uno sport facile, servono molti sacrifici e tanto impegno.

What does it feel like to be a champion?

I don’t really feel like a champion, just a boy with a passion.

Usually those born into it take part in this sport or at least boys whose parents are mechanics or take part in that world. In my case it was quite different, my parents knew nothing of karting, it was me who saw a go-kart track one day by chance and nagged my father to go in and let me try a two-seater with him. I was three years old and I still remember that moment and what it felt like, I wanted to drive it myself at all costs. So the following week, after having begged and begged I was taken to a children’s driving lesson which was really for five year olds, but in the end I managed to convince the instructor to let me try. Well, I never stopped after that. So I don’t feel like a champion but compared to a lot of children I have shown determination and the desire to follow my dreams. It is not an easy sport, it demands sacrifice and hard work.

IL TAXI DI SANDY Cosa vuol dire essere un tassista? Gira con Sandy nel suo taxi giallo e lo scoprirai. Con l’aiuto dei genitori, attraverso tre livelli, i bambini, dai 2 ai 3 anni, dovranno recuperare dei passeggeri e cercare di portarli in tempo alla loro destinazione. In questo modo scopriranno la città e il senso civico. Oltre ad avere la possibilità di imparare sei differenti lingue. Al termine della storia, dopo aver interagito con gli oggetti e le indicazioni stradali, verranno proposte alcune domande e alcuni puzzle per stimolare in modo giocoso la memoria. E per finire, potranno farsi un “selfie” insieme a Sandy e decidere se sostituire la voce del narratore con la loro.

What does being a taxi driver involve? Travel round with Sandy in his yellow taxi and you will find out. With a little parental help and through three levels children aged between 2 and 3 have to pick up passengers and try and get them to their destination in time. An entertaining way to learn about the city, as well as having the chance to learn six different languages. After having interacted with objects and road signs, at the end of the story there are questions and puzzles to stimulate memory through play. And lastly, they can take a “selfie” together with Sandy and choose whether or not to substitute the narrator’s voice with their own.
