I am a Hungarian painter living in Szentendre. I graduated from Moholy-Nagy University Art and Design department. I am industrial designer. I have worked in many fields. I found myself in painting. Each of my images inspired a certain feeling and state of mind. My style is abstract realism. My creations were born with a focus on colorism, in which colors give the feelings.
Acrylic, 130 x 90
Lajos Grendel was a Slovak writer of Hungarian descent. He was a recognized author in both Hungarian and Slovak languages. His way of thinking inspired my painting Viewpoints. I made it for the Grendel 75 competition, it won the Grendel 75 award. It was exhibited in several places in Slovakia. in Dunaszerdahely, Komárom and Bratislava.
Acrylic, 70 x 50 They were already present in the age of dinosaurs. Even then, we didn't want to be in the same water with them. However, every time we venture into the sea, we fall into their world. We will never be stronger than them, we only have a chance to survive with the help of our minds. Even on the surface.
Acrylic, 80 x 60
Before reading this, read the history of my Budapest Chain Bridge painting. It's the opposite of that. Change doesn't happen here, because I don't cross the bridge, but turn back and continue my usual selfdestructive life. The colors of that night illuminate the bridge in front of me more realistically here. What if I don't go through and don't turn back? Would I have painted at some point? Where would I be now? Would I still live?
This painting of mine was preceded by an earlier painting of mine, The Three Faces of Truth. I would like to present the changes in my life. In this work The Two Faces of Truth, when my own opinion is only opposed to the opinions of others. I have now omitted the third face, which reflects the external factor in my previous work.
One evening in the summer of 2018, I walked from Pest to Buda. I was attracted to the nightlife. Fortunately, I never saw the world that way as I painted in the picture. I never wanted to grow up. I grew up in the sense that I lived and worked alone. I didn't want to start a family. I enjoyed the bohemian life in the Budapest night. I left this old life behind. With money in our pockets and drunk in the city, we will have many "friends" here. After I passed, this is where I decided to change, probably if I didn't pass then I would never be a painter. I proposed to my wife on a boat under the bridge. I'm lucky to have foundsomeoneI'mhappywith.
Acrylic, 100 x 100
There are three of us in the family. Me, my wife and our daughter. All three are Taurus. We are completely different personalities, but we do everything for each other. My main inspiration was to give birth to a new life. The picture had already been painted once, but I wasn't satisfied with it, so I painted it white and started over. In Hungarian, behind three bulls there are three more bulls hidden completely unnoticed in the painting. I painted the new trio with better proportions for me. This is how my work was born, believe me. We should never give up on what we want, and we know that the only gift greater than our family is its expansion.
Acrylic, 130 x 90 Benjamin Franklin deservedly became America's "greatest" currency. The title of the picture also reflects the curbing of inflation, in a world where eras come and go on and on. I believe that if everyone does their part, this problem can be overcome more easily. This painting is always worth more than a piece of paper called money. We believe in its value. My goal was that my work, when hung on the wall, symbolizes value and value stability, because a painting becomes more valuable over time.
Acrylic, 130 x 90
In Hungary, Ferenc Deák was called the sage of the country. The peculiarity of today's age is that we work, we struggle, we always want something more. It makes our everyday life centered on money, without worrying about the fact that life is fleeting and everything we pursue is gone in an instant. The picture was inspired by hanging this on the wall and not making it the goal, but the moments we live.
When I started painting this picture, I was going through a difficult time. The image would have had a completely different form, but filled with positive content, I think it is one of my best works Latvian. Title of my university thesis: Sacred ages and regular kitsch. In my opinion, faith and art have always been the perfect match. The works of Michelangelo and Munkácsy faithfully reflect all of this for me, which is why they are of decisive importance in my work.
Acrylic, 130 x 90
Creation of COVID I painted the picture during COVID. The idea was given by Michelangelo's fresco. At creation, the hands of God and Adam never touched. The two hidden hypodermic needles aim and stab God's hand. Today's man wants to change everything around him, wants to have a say in everything. If necessary, he also rewrites God's work.
The philosopher's life could not be presented in one picture. The eternal certainty that we see one thing, others see one thing, and one something happened. Most people are sure of the truths on which they build their lives. there is no truth, so it will never be painted in a face. What is love? What is honor? Is courage a virtue? There were already 3 types of people living in Athens.
Acrylic, 70 x 50
My first painting, which I painted when we moved to Szentendre. I wanted to depict the beginning of a road and the end of a road. I worked in the financial field, I loved it, but burnout and the desire for freedom inspired the work. It was a big struggle to move to Szentendre. We were able to buy the third property, fortunately in retrospect.
Sallay
Our goddaughter's friend. I have selected four pictures of Roli whose significance we know. The lower right scene, a praying image immediately after my father-in-law's death kicked a goal and thanked Him. In the upper left corner of the picture, you can see a completely different goal joy, in the upper right, you can see a goal shooter, in the lower left corner, you can see a scissoring Roli.
Acrylic, 70x 90
I made it for my brother-in-law's fiftieth birthday. He always focused on football in his life. He proved his ability as both a football player and a coach.
Sándor Petőfi
Lover of freedom. I don't want to present his work, that's not why the picture was taken. For me, the most decisive thing is that instead of the mandatory German language, we can study in our Hungarian mother tongue. 1848 "What the Hungarian nation wants. Let there be peace, freedom and harmony.”
SaintGellert-Youwillwin Budapest's famous hill. Saint Gellert, i.e. Gerardo di Sagredo, brought Christianity to Hungary. My picture, like the others, wants to convey anatmosphere. Almostno one notices the saint hiding in the picture. The image also includes the iconic buildings of the Gellért mountain range and its face. According to legend, the pagans killed him and rolled him down the mountain in a barrel. The theme is close to me, that's why I paintedit. We were born on the same day. We both deal with introducing new values. I know from my own example, whatever you do, you know your goal is noble, nevertheless, many will want to trample you, butDON'TBE AFRAID.You willwinifyoubelieveinit.
Acrylic, 100 x 100 Schwarzenegger's iconic phrase, I'll (be) back... For me, he is one of the most inspiring, versatile people. In one eye I painted the bodybuilder in the picture, in the other the politician, and in the overall picture you can see the Terminator. Which symbolizes that they all exist in one person in their entirety. I painted in a pixel-like style, which refers to the dangers of artificial intelligence, which he warned about quite early on.
I became a industrial designer at university. I was selected as the first vehicle designer in my class. I felt like I had arrived. I am in the best place in Hungary and the MercedesBenz design team also taught me. What else do you need? I learned a lot of new things, including that I don'twanttobe a vehicle designer. I slept three days a week and struggled to learn everything. The term kitsch has been used many times in my life. So it was clear that I wanted to write my thesis about this. The topic gave rise to many discussions, but I came to the conclusion that in many cases we are planning kitsch. Instead of timeless forms, we always design for current trends. Both old and new Porsches are great cars. However, the shape was determined by the engineers. Everything is always getting bigger and stronger. That's not why I put two Porsche 911s on top of each other. I like the classic style. To this day, Porsche maintains the “Porsche form. Our task is to preservethesevalues.
My creation is a symbol of unity and strength. The bubble-like patches of color floating in the background evoke the diversity and continuous movementoflifeasthey connect and separate. In the center of the composition stands a muscular human figure stretching an arrow, with a lion's head suggesting courage and pride. The figurine represents both Sagittarius and Leo as perseverance and passion, payinghomage to the relationship of loverswhofindharmony in the unity of two differentsigns.
Acrylic, 100 x 100
My work pushes the boundaries of abstraction and iconography while conveying a powerful message. The central elements of the image – the four Kalashnikovs merging into each other –simultaneously symbolize the presence of violence and conflict in a context where they are fundamentally alien: the world of love. Intertwining arms represent addiction, intertwined emotional states, and internal struggles. The fact that there are four weapons can also suggest a kind of balance or permanence, as if the conflict between suffering and love is an endless cycle.
The abstract colors that surround the weapons perhaps reflect the complexity of love, the confusion of emotions. These bright, almost chaotic colors can be contrasted with the rigid and cold form of the Kalashnikovs, creating a huge contrast. The blurring of colors can also represent the intertwining of passion and pain, emphasizing the co-existence of love and conflict.
My work may also highlight that love, which is basically a positive force, sometimes makes us vulnerable and can also carry the possibility of loss and pain. The title – “Killer of Love” – gives the picture a dark undertone: as if the guns and the violence behind them symbolize the factors that can destroy relationships or undermine emotional attachments.
The scene is from the movie Rambo2. For me, Stallone is one of the iconic living legends, and his central element is the necklace. He loses his love before the scene, the necklace was originally worn by his love. For me, the Rambo movies go beyond the action movie, in all of them the greatest emphasis is on the emotions, the vicissitudes of life and the series of life-defining questions. Sly is always the greatest and he was the most inspiring actor for me. My life was not a paved road for me either, there were many difficulties and struggles. I graduated from the University of the Arts and chose painting as my path. I paint my current feelings, thoughts, which I can express like this. In this picture, I tried to paint the strength that I see in him and what is in him. The image is internal despite the tension, it radiates calmness.
This abstract realist work of mine evokes the Parliament of Hungary through colorful, multifaceted forms. The silhouette and details of the building are shaded by a multitude of colors, as if seen through a kaleidoscope. The many eyes in the painting each represent a different point of view, giving the impression that the building itself is a living entity. As many eyes, as many perspectives: everyone has their own, unique way of seeing, but we all perceive the same historical and artistic wonder. This work draws attention to the diversity of vision and interpretation.
I really like to paint portraits. All a moment from our history. Which convey real emotions. My client's family was created based on an old family wedding photo, preserving the romance of the past, but at the same time with a fresh and modern approach. The work is resplendent in bright colors, interspersed with the unique features of my style. They breathe new life into the classic composition. The features of the lovers are rich in detail and saturated with emotion, as if the moment of love and happiness is forever captured on the canvas. This image is a tribute to the memories of the family, while also bearing the imprint of my art to preserve this timeless momentforever.
