The Bologna Children’s Book Fair opens to the world of research with this award that looks into the best dissertations in children’s literature. The prize, currently awarded for postgraduate works from Italian Universities, pays tribute to the literary critic Carla Poesio, her fundamental contribution to the world of children’s literature and the unique role she played in the birth and development of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. This year’s winner is Caterina Foglieri with a dissertation focusing on the theme of flight and fall: “Tra voli e cadute. Gli atterraggi di fortuna nella letteratura per l’infanzia”.
